Our Roots Go Deep
... For every successful business there is a story...
Here is our Lovely Story
It's hard to imagine busy route 73 being a dirt road, traveled mainly by horse and buggy
and the occasional Model T. In 1925, hobos trudged down the road ready to chop wood for a hot
meal and many squatters could be seen looking for work. The Great Depression was
looming and times were hard.My grandfather, Lee Lovely, had the initiative to bring his family to Ohio. Ohio held the promise of good jobs and opportunities... a far cry from poverty stricken Eastern Kentucky in the early 20's. Grandpa got a job at the paper factory in Franklin and helped to support the family.
